Don’t Give UP!

by kpritchard
January 21st, 2012

The New Year has begun. We made our resolutions/goals/ intentions for the year and we are now a few weeks into that  new year. How are you doing? Are you still on your path? Have you slowed down or even dropped your best intentions. It is so difficult to stay on track to make changes in our lives. Even when we know those changes will make our lives so much better. We need inspiration and support to keep going. I am posting a wonderul video to remind us not to give up. That our intentions are important and we never know when the thing we need is right around the corner. Stay true to your life’s path, fulfill your goals and live the life you were meant to live. Enjoy!!!

A New School Year Has Begun!

by kpritchard
September 1st, 2011

Well, here it is the beginning of a new school year. Teacher, parents and even children are excited and looking forward to the new school year. It feels like a new beginning and that the previous year’s transgressions have all been forgiven (not always the truth; however it is the perception). This is probably a different scenario from what was occuring in June as the school year wound down when teachers and students are tired and worn out.

I  saw this video and thought it was perfect for this time. Maybe that enthusiasm that we see at the beginning of the year could continue for the whole year, with everyone as excited and enthusiastic in June as in September. Sir Ken Robinson is a gifted speaker and although the video is 20 minutes long I think you will find that it goes by quickly and you will in fact want to hear more from this man. His message is important and we need to listen to it and encourage parents and our schools and teachers to value creativity more than just the learning and regurgitation of the hard sciences. He gives wonderful examples of when this has occurred and does so in a very entertaining fashion. Take the time to watch this video and I would love to hear your comments about it and his ideas. His book The Element is all about people finding and living their passions.
